Anzac Pet Deli and Aberfoyle Pet Supplies have been selfless in their support for SADR. They supply fresh Meatloaf for our shelter dogs, have given us generous raffle prizes and gift bags at events, supply us with treat bags to give to new adopters and have donated a Van for the transportation of SADR dogs; and the list goes on. HMNS First Sponsored Harry the Sharpei Cross Labrador, who was only Two Years old at the time. Harry was on Death Row in a NSW Council pound and was going to be put to sleep on January 20th 2009. SA Dog Rescue stepped in and with HMNS's Support were able to save Harry. HMNS paid for Harry to be transported over to SA and for the medical supplies required to treat his skin issues. Harry is now rehabilitated and living happily with his forever family. HMNS continues to support SA Dog Rescue by Fundraising and donation, including raffles and some HMNS staff donate via payroll deductions to SA Dog Rescue.

While factories the world over have recently been forced to shut down due to the economic crisis, puppy factories continue to boom. Mass-producing puppies for profit, their operators are simply business people with little or no concern for the animals they force to breed in appalling facilities. It's not uncommon for female dogs as young as six months old to churn out litters constantly for their entire lives.
When they're no longer able to breed, they're euthanised. But perhaps the
